Pro Tips From Our Technical Team

  • For silk and georgette always use a low-temperature fusible backing and test fusing temperature on a scrap piece first — silk scorches quickly above 140°C.
  • For heavy zari work use 100–120 GSM heavy fusible backing and consider a cut-away layer beneath for added support on very dense designs.
  • For machine embroidery on knits never use a tear-away backing on stretch fabrics — the tearing action can distort the embroidery. Use stretch cut-away instead.
  • For velvet and pile fabrics always place a water-soluble topping film on top of the pile before stitching to prevent stitches from sinking into the surface.

EMDO102 is a 60 GSM non woven water soluble interlining. It dissolves after stitching and provides support for intricate deisgns.
